The article was about how Intel acknowledge to being hacked in January alongside quite a few other companies like google, adobe, yahoo and quite a few other companies. iDefense, a computer security company confirmed that 34, yes 34 companies were targeted by the these hackers. Most of these companies did not release statements or let the public know of these attacks I guess due to an outbreak of fear, or of simple embarrassment. Intel released a statement but none of which says if anything was taken or who was behind the attacks.
I chose this article due to the fact that it deals with hackers trying to hack into these large corporations which hold a lot of information that deal with our everyday lives. It made me realize that there is a digital warfare going on. We can not only get caught up on physical wars but also be aware their are people trying to attack our countries' information. Information and knowledge is what is needed today to let one country get a greater advantage over another. Not just weapons of mass destruction.
